Cetim, which held the Carnot label since 2006, is the mutualized research institute

for the French mechanical engineering sector. As a research and knowledge

dissemination organization based on a model adapted to the structure of the

French mechanical engineering industry, Cetim is recognized by the French

government as having a mission of general interest, to contribute to industrial,

research and innovation policies to serve the 19 CNI sectors. Part of an

international group with over 1,000 employees and a presence on 3 continents,

Cetim Carnot brings fundamental mechanical engineering skills to the highest

level of excellence, and steers progress towards the transition of major sovereign

industries (energy, transport, defense, etc.). It is a key partner for the French

regions, helping to create territorial ecosystems where major groups, ETIs, SMIs

and start-ups mutually innovate.
