Paris Brain Institute is a center for scientific and medical research based at Pitié-
Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris. It was founded in 2010 and obtained the prestigious
«Carnot Institute» label in 2011. Patients, doctors, researchers and businesses are
brought together on one site to improve understanding of the brain and speed up
the discovery of new treatments for nervous system diseases. The institute comprises
760 experts, 25 research teams, 11 core facilities, a Clinical Investigation Center
and three incubation facilities for startups.
