ARTS Carnot Institute operates platforms at the 

forefront of technology and develops technology 

demonstrators. ARTS Carnot Institute’s 

platforms are positioned between levels 1 and  

5 in terms of Technology Readiness Level (TRL). 

Demonstrators aims at reaching TRL 6.

ARTS Carnot Institute has facilities for 

manufacturing processes (rapid machining, 

forging processes, casting processes…), 

material analysis (gleeble, electron 

microscopes…), the study of complex 

interactions (wind tunnels, fluid mechanics 

machines…), rapid prototyping and additive 

manufacturing, and digital prototyping  

(3D digitizing, virtual immersion).
