The LabCom PI Gaz, a collaboration between Air Liquide and LRGP (Carnot Icéel), has been renewed until 2028. A long-term scientific partnership focused on industrial gas modelling.

The Reactions and Process Engineering Laboratory (LRGP), part of Carnot Icéel, and Air Liquide have renewed their PI Gaz joint laboratory (LabCom) until 2028. Initially launched in 2019 with the support of the French National Research Agency (ANR), this partnership has proven its value through impactful scientific results and a strong industry-academic synergy.

PI Gaz focuses on the advanced understanding of industrial gas behavior under extreme conditions, combining multi-scale modelling, experimental data, and numerical simulations. The goal: to develop predictive tools for the design, optimization, and safety of industrial processes.

This renewed partnership also includes CIFRE PhD theses, brings together expertise in thermodynamics, transport phenomena, and chemical kinetics, and is expanding toward new themes related to energy transition.

It exemplifies the mission of Carnot Icéel: enabling long-term collaborations that connect cutting-edge research with real industrial challenges.
